Launch of 3U Telekommunikation GmbH with primary business activity "long-distance carrier".
1999
3U commences operations as nationwide long-distance carrier on April 1. In September, 3U Telekommunikation GmbH is transformed into a joint-stock company. First quotation day on the Neuer Markt of the Frankfurt stock exchange is November 25 under the WKN (German securities identification number) 516790.
2001
In May, the 3U General Meeting decides to change the company name to 3U TELECOM AG. The decisive factor for this is the progressive expansion of the Company abroad.
2003
The 3U stock is listed in the segment “Prime Standard” in January. 3U TELECOM AG continues to expand with the purchase of the OneTel brand. OneTel Telecommunication GmbH with network operator code 01086 has successfully established itself as network provider for voice telephony in the segments for private and business customers on the German market.
2004
With the acquisition of LambdaNet Communications Deutschland AG, 3U TELECOM AG is tapping into significant growth potentials in the expanding IP/Broadband segment as well as into completely new customer segments. This powerful state-of-the-art high-end backbone forms the basis of future competitiveness. Moreover, a new service acquires new customers. The Subsidiary fon4U starts off with the Preselection code 01053.
2006
The new Subsidiaries 010 017 Telecom GmbH with network operator code 010 017 and Discount Telecom S&V GmbH with network operator code 01017 start in open Dial-around business.
2007
The extraordinary General Meeting decides to position 3U TELECOM AG as a management and investment holding company in the future. Since November 1, 2007, 3U TELECOM AG operates under the name of 3U HOLDING AG. The telecommunications services are outsourced and transferred to the new wholly-owned subsidiary 3U TELECOM GmbH.
2008
Start of network operator code 01067 in open Dial-around business by Subsidiary Linecall Telecom GmbH.
The IT Subsidiary SEGAL Systems GmbH is founded.
2009
With foundation of 3U SOLAR Systemhandel AG, 3U HOLDING AG expands its activities in the area of Renewable Energies.
