Marburg, 13 February 2025 – 3U HOLDING AG (ISIN: DE0005167902; identifier: UUU) takes great pleasure in announcing its relocation to its new building in the Cappel district of Marburg. After a construction period lasting around a year, the move to the state-of-the-art office building which provides space for around 80 employees has now been completed. The relocation marks an important milestone in the company’s history as it stands for progress, sustainability and a forward-looking working environment.
The new building has a floor area totalling around 2,000 square metres and 36 contemporary offices across three floors. Parts of the building’s façade and the roof have been greened. The plot of land is around 3,200 square metres and was sustainably designed, with very few sealed areas. Twenty indigenous trees will be planted in the green areas around the building and, similar to greening on the building, will improve the microclimate and promote biodiversity.
3U HOLDING AG’s aspiration is to achieve carbon neutrality with the new building built to the latest energy and environmental standards at the company’s headquarters in Marburg. Carbon neutrality has been affirmed by the DGNB certificate in Gold which documents the building’s climate-neutral operation. A roof-top solar plant can generate up to 36.4 megawatt hours of green energy a year, and the premises is equipped with cutting-edge infrastructure for sustainable mobility: A total of ten charging points for e-vehicles and 34 bicycle stands with ten charging sockets are available for use.
The interior of the new building also sets new standards: Contemporary, ergonomically designed workstations promote the health and productivity of the employees. In addition, special emphasis was placed when the building was designed on having rooms filled with light and an inspiring atmosphere. Air conditioning is ensured by a highly efficient heat pump.
