Renewable Energies Segment
We participate successfully in the megatrend which consists of harnessing renewable energies to generate climate-neutral power. Within the Group of 3U HOLDING AG, we currently (2023) operate three large wind farms and a solar park with a nominal capacity totalling around 53 megawatts, along with a series of smaller roof-mounted photovoltaic systems. Yields depend on the weather conditions. Professional operation and maintenance enable us to guarantee a high technical availability of the facilities. We deliver the power generated to utility companies at advantageous conditions, feed it into the grid in accordance with the German Renewable Energies Act (EEG), or sell it on electricity exchanges. With a view to increasing the yield, we are in the process of preparing repowering projects aimed at replacing the existing facilities by new, more powerful ones.
Along with the companies associated with the individual plants and projects, three more major subsidiaries operate in the Renewable Energies segment.

The Adelebsen solar Park was built by 3U ENERGY AG in 2012 and has been operated by Solarpark Adelebsen GmbH since then. The two companies are subsidiaries of 3U HOLDING AG. On a 26-hectare industrial site, home to a former sawmill, photovoltaic modules were installed on the roof of the building and ground mounted on the open areas in less than a year and progress made in expanding the grid. With 44,100 solar modules distributed across 10% of the roof and installed on 90% of the open areas, the solar park has an overall nominal capacity of 10 MWp. Since being built, the facilities generate an annual average of around 2.5 MWh of electricity.
